Youth Council

The University-Rosedale Youth Council is a non-partisan volunteer initiative with the goal of improving the lives of young people within our constituency. The Youth Council is run by youth, for youth (14-22) under the supervision of the University-Rosedale Constituency Office. There are currently 13 members comprising the council from both public and private high schools across the riding. We meet every week to brainstorm how best to serve the community, and are always working hard to achieve our goals. If you would like to keep up with what we’re doing at any point, please check out the Uni-Rosedale Youth Council Instagram at @uniroseyc

youth council

Throughout its existence, the University-Rosedale Youth Council has been involved in many community initiatives that have benefited our community. Being composed of youths entirely, we are deeply in touch with the problems facing our community, and especially those faced by our generation. Issues such as homelessness, unemployment, climate change, mental health, and social injustice are at the forefront of what we work to solve.

In the past, we have contributed to these causes through food drives, awareness forums, and donations. We have collected massive amounts of books which were donated to CAMH Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, hosted a Youth Parliamentary Forum, hosted a collective meeting that included many youth councils around the city, and other community-oriented initiatives. Our goal is to improve our riding through non-partisan volunteer work. Help us make a difference in our community!
