About the CYC
Our Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has said that “young voices must be part of our decision-making process” and that’s why I have launched a new initiative to bring youth together from across University—Rosedale to engage with the federal political process.
As a part of the Liberal Government’s commitment to meaningful youth engagement in Canada’s government, we have formed the University—Rosedale Youth Council and now we are making it easier for young Canadians to have their say closer to home. Our Council is made up from youth in the community between the ages of 12 to 18 and include youth from different schools, neighbourhoods and local associations. Last year, the Youth Council has been tasked with designing a Project proposal to implement nationwide. Currently, the Council is working on a Youth Parliamentary Forum, to bring to together youth from across the country.
The University—Rosedale Youth Council is still open for applications for future members. Our council meets once a week to discuss issues that matter to you, your community and your country.
